Inspirational Leadership
GLOSSARY
One of the factors in the Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire (MLQ) and one of the four components of transformational leadership theory (the other three being intellectual stimulation, idealized influence and individual consideration). Inspirational leadership consists of leader behaviours that provide followers with a clear sense of purpose that is energizing, is a role model for ethical conduct and builds identification with the leader and his/her articulated vision.
